Valley Adventures Day Camp
Valley Adventure Day Campers:
Time to complete health & emergency contact forms, ropes course waivers, and required reading for camp!
HEALTH FORMS REQUIRED FOR ALL at VADC:
Every individual at Valley Adventures Day Camp including our campers, adult volunteers, caddies, boys and children in the sibling care unit are required to have a health history form on file. The form can be found here: Health History Form.
For proper food planning and to provide any necessary assistance to our participants requiring accommodations, we need the health forms by May 1. The forms are held in strict confidence and are reviewed only by our camp nurse. Please mail them to Gretchen Simpson: Valley Adventures Day Camp at 16093 Goodview Way, Lakeville, 55044.
YMCA HIGH ROPES ADVENTURE COURSE WAIVER: Campers entering 4th grade Fall 2014 and older will have the opportunity to participate in a high ropes adventure course as led by licensed and certified instructors from the YMCA. Every camper, boy and caddie over the age of entering 4th grade must submit a completed waiver no later than Monday, June 16. The form can be found here: YMCA Ropes Course Waiver. Please send the signed waiver with your camper to day camp on the first day along with the other required forms.
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION:
When campers arrive at camp on Monday, June 16, they will need to turn in the "Emergency Contact" form to their unit leader. This will provide our staff with your most recent contact information. The form can be found here: Emergency Contact Form
VADC RULES - REQUIRED READING:
The "VADC Rules" document describes the drop off and pick up process, as well as our policies regarding electronics, dressing for the outdoors, and severe weather evacuation procedures. It is critical that every parent and guardian be familiar with our program's policies and expectations. The document can be found here: VADC Rules
CODE OF CONDUCT:
Please review the "Code of Conduct" document with your camper, sign it, and bring it to camp on Monday, June 16. It is so easy to sign on the bottom line, but we strive to provide an environment of kindness and respect. Plese review our expectations for campers' conduct and be aware of the consequences for any violations. The document can be found here: VADC Code of Contact
WHAT TO BRING:
Everyone wants to know what they need to bring to camp, so here is the VADC Packing List! Please give it to your camper and start teaching her how to take responsibility for packing for herself.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF ALL FORMS, WAIVERS, AND REQUIRED READING SO WE CAN MAKE VADC A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

MEET YOUR CO-LEADERS and CADDIES!
It is advantageous to meet your camp “co-workers” prior to showing up on Monday morning at camp. There may be things you want to coordinate in advance or you simply may just want to meet some new camp friends. It will make for an easier transition to welcome your campers on Monday morning with enthusiasm and excitement if you are familiar who you are working with and a command of the program’s schedule in advance.
Thank you again so very much for volunteering! We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Camp Kick-Off meeting! It is the day camp pre-party!
The 10th annual Valley Adventures Day Camp is now full!
