Valley Adventures Day Camp
ATTENTION VALLEY ADVENTURES DAY CAMP VOLUNTEERS!
There will be a mandatory camp kick-off meeting to present all of the information volunteers need to know prior to serving at camp. Email updates and reminders will be sent as the date gets closer.
MANDATORY CAMP KICK-OFF MEETING DETAILS:
ALL full time day camp volunteers and caddies. Part time volunteers are welcome to attend, but it is not necessary.
Find Out About the FUN!
We will distribute your unit roster of campers, the camp programming binders which include all craft, activity and cooking instructions, your schedule for the week, your t-shirts and so much more to ensure you are prepared for an amazing time at day camp!
MEET YOUR CO-LEADERS and CADDIES!
It is advantageous to meet your camp “co-workers” prior to showing up on Monday morning at camp. There may be things you want to coordinate in advance or you simply may just want to meet some new camp friends. It will make for an easier transition to welcome your campers on Monday morning with enthusiasm and excitement if you are familiar who you are working with and a command of the program’s schedule in advance.
Thank you again so very much for volunteering! We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Camp Kick-Off meeting! It is the day camp pre-party!
The 10th annual Valley Adventures Day Camp is now full!
Thank you to everyone who has registered for Valley Adventures Day Camp! The program has a limited number of spots due to space constraints. The PROGRAM IS NOW FULL. A waiting list can be generated as there are usually 1-3 cancellations per year. Please email Gretchen Simpson at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about the waiting list.
This year's camp theme will be SURVIVOR! Girls will be taught a variety of survival skills and knowledge through fun and creative programming. Their skills will be put to the test during a camp-wide "Amazing Race" competition on Thursday. Achieving immunity challenges will earn privileges, prizes and prestige for those Girl Scouts who put their survival skills to the test and succeed. Valley Adventures Day Camp is 100% volunteer led program serving Girl Scouts in the Apple Valley and Rosemount area. The camp will take place Monday - Wednesday 9:00am - 3:30pm. Thursday begins at 9am and includes staying overnight with camp ending at 11:00am on Friday.
Camp fees are $160. A $80 nonrefundable deposit is due upon sending in the registration form. Camp fees balance is due April 1. No refunds for cancellations are made for any reason after May 1.
